Video out of Parma Heights, Ohio shows police wrestling with a giant inflatable pumpkin they found rolling through the streets. Officers encountered the oversized object tumbling through town the night of October 8. In the bodycam footage, cops are seen apprehending the gallivanting gourd before it caused any significant damage. They try yet fail to fully deflate it, and eventually shove the defiant decoration into the back of a squad car. Local media reports the item was safely returned to its owner.
Ohio appears to be a hotspot for this peculiar type of police chase—Coast to Coast featured a story last year when cops tackled a different pumped-up pumpkin gone rogue. In that incident, the jack-o-lantern briefly got the upper hand when it rolled onto an officer. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
